Unexpected and challenging events across the UK, and the world beyond, continue to ebb and flow. But, in the here and now, and looking to the future, we like to make it our priority to never falter in our commitment to the people and families we support, whatever the circumstances. We believe good news and a positive attitude is contagious, and spurs us all on to keep doing our best and spot the new, rich opportunities for helping and inspiring others. And we’re incredibly happy to share our latest happenings with you for a happy summer read!

Three cheers for The Robin Centre

Hip, hip hooray! We’ll be grabbing the balloons, cake and streamers when we celebrate The Robin Centre’s 3rd year anniversary later this year. It’s amazing to think it’s been a whole 3 years since we first turned our dream into the successful reality it is today. It’s such a privilege to give individuals with learning disabilities so many genuine learning, socialising and personal development opportunities, all within a safe, familiar and cheerful space that they can call their own. With our philosophy well and truly put into action, The Robin Centre has recently welcomed even more new members who enjoy the benefits of more independence and lots of meaningful experiences from the moment they enrol. We can’t wait for them to help us get the party started!

A huge step forward for the group and its recruitment plans, Tribe Search has been specifically created and developed to deliver on our vision of the impeccable matching of talent, aptitudes and values for critical roles in sector-specific organisations. From trainee apprentices to ISO certification – we’ve been busy

Our new exciting Care Apprentice scheme is now underway at Care Matters, providing brilliant opportunities for individuals wanting to work in care. Whatsmore, we’re already preparing to induct our first trainees! Immersive and rewarding learning with us will help these aspiring carers to not only learn what it takes to provide the highest quality care, safely and effectively, but also offer an invaluable insight into the lives and emotional needs of people from all walks of life, dealing with all kinds of situations and challenges. We look forward to inspiring every trainee through our new scheme and hope many choose to join our fantastic team when qualified.

And on the subject of qualifying, Care Matters has now achieved UKAS ISO 9001 Certification which demonstrates, and reinforces, our commitment to safety processes, integral to our Care Quality Commision (CQC) registration and ranking. Well done everyone!

Tribe Recruitment is going places!

Starting the year with more great success, Tribe Recruitment is now going the extra mile – literally! Extending its operation base by opening its Stockton office in Teesside, we are now better able to access and support clients across the Tees Valley, North Yorkshire and South Tyneside.  This progressive move also supports Tribe Recruitment’s addition of the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) and industrial service sectors to its specialisms.

The Tribe Healthcare Recruitment arm is also expanding its reach, this time further North to support more employers and candidates across Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle.

Alongside this, we’re delighted to extend our congratulations to recruiters Adam and Ben who have passed their Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) exams. And joining the team, we’ve warmly welcomed new recruitment consultants, Laura and Katie.

Support and sponsorship is a win-win

The more we give, the more we gain as a group. Our local communities and good causes are the perfect reason for being supportive while having fun and enjoying shared activities. Teesside Hospice and partners are special to us, and we’ve continued our partnership with them. Most recently, we were happy to sponsor the Darlington RA Cricket team in the County Cup match against Darlington Cricket Club….and they went on to win the day – Result! We’re also working closely with the MFC (Middlesbrough Football Club) Foundation who have been incredibly supportive of The Robin Centre and its members. Thanks ‘Boro! In the coming 2022-23 season, we’ll be sponsoring Darlington RFC U15s and as always will be rooting for a win!

Whatever the outcome, it won’t stop there as we have even more plans in the pipeline, so watch this space!
