The Robin Centre makes learning fun and socialising manageable for unique people with learning disabilities. Set in a vibrant, real-life environment, members of our Middlesbrough day care centre learn and develop at their own pace to achieve personal, meaningful goals.
ABOUT
WHY THE ROBIN CENTRE
- We believe that everybody has the right to learn and enjoy it. At The Robin Centre our members, who are often vulnerable people, are provided with the facilities and support they need to do so
- Promoting person-centred learning primarily, our members are the focus of the centre every day of the week
- We celebrate every achievement, embrace progress, and welcome unique adults in the region to experience the centre for themselves
- Led by an experienced centre manager, our team have been handpicked to provide the best experience for every member who visits the centre.
WHAT WE DO
- Provide a safe, engaging learning environment where essential life skills can be developed at a pace to suit our members
- Agree an individual learning plan with each member, or their advocates, which gears learning activities towards achieving the personal goals that mean most to them
- Educate members, wherever possible, on the fundamental skills they need to live more independently
- Roll-out an exciting range of activities that make visiting the centre an experience they’ll never forget.

“Helps my self-esteem, brings my confidence levels up. Staff are very nice and polite. I like to do the drama workshops, bowling, play your cards rights, arts & crafts, maths and English workshops, and Zumba. I look forward to doing the group activities.”
